Description

Matairesinoside is a natural compound with antioxidative properties. The biological properties of matairesinol are related to the antioxidant activity and its ability to inhibit inflammation. Matairesinol has been shown to have an effect on the surface methodology of carthamus tinctorius, which is a plant that has been used in traditional medicine to treat infectious diseases. A recent study found that matairesinol could be used as a tool for assessing the viability of cells. Matairesinol has also been shown to reduce mitochondrial membrane potential and increase the resistance of bacteria against antibiotics, making it useful as a wastewater treatment agent.
