Description

Panax ginseng extract is a mixture of saponins, ginsenosides, and other compounds derived from the root of the plant. It has been shown to have hypoglycemic effects in diabetic animal models and can be used for the treatment of infectious diseases such as influenza and chronic hepatitis B. Ginseng extract also has antioxidant properties that may help to prevent neuronal death. Panax ginseng extract has been found to inhibit the growth of Candida albicans, C. glabrata, and other fungi by interfering with their biochemical reactions. This extract also contains pro-apoptotic proteins that are involved in cell death pathways in mammalian cells.
