This compound has been shown to inhibit the activity of the alpha subunit of the voltage-gated sodium channel in rat brain and dorsal root ganglia neurons. (R)-N-(3-Methoxy-alpha-phenylethyl)-3-(2'-chlorophenyl)-1-(propylamine hydrochloride) is a potent ligand for the Cloned Human NGF Receptor and binds to this receptor with high affinity. It is used as a research tool for studying protein interactions and peptides, as well as an antibody for cell biology studies.
