Description

5-Aminotetralin (5,6,7,8-Tetrahydro-1-naphthylamine) is a fragment compound belonging to the class of aromatic hydrocarbons. It has been used in the synthesis of various organic compounds such as 1,2-dihydronaphthalene, 1-naphthol and 1-naphthaleneacetic acid. It has also been used in the synthesis of drugs such as the antimalarial drug chloroquine.
