Applications 16-DOXYL-stearic acid, free radical is a spin label for membrane fluidity studies. It can be used to study the dynamics of the lipid bilayer, distribution of fatty acids, and effects of lipid components on detergent-resistant membranes. It can be used for the investigation of surfactant effects on protein formulations by EPR spectroscopic technique.
