Quizalofop-P-etile è un erbicida selettivo post-emergente utilizzato principalmente per controllare le erbe infestanti graminacee in vari coltivazioni, in particolare in quelle a foglia larga. Appartiene alla classe chimica degli acidi arilossifenossipropionici e agisce inibendo l'enzima acetil-CoA carbossilasi, che è cruciale per la sintesi degli acidi grassi nelle piante. Questa inibizione porta all'interruzione dei processi cellulari, portando infine alla morte delle erbe infestanti bersaglio. Quizalofop-P-etile è caratterizzato dalla sua relativamente bassa tossicità per i mammiferi e gli uccelli, rendendolo una scelta preferita nelle applicazioni agricole.
