Applications 4-Methyl-2-(phenylmethylene)hydrazide Benzenesulfonic Acid is an intermediate int he synthesis of Diazaborine which is an antibacterial drug that inhibits enoyl-ACP reductase in Escherichia coli. Diazaborine treatment of yeast inhibits processing of the rRNA precursors for the large ribosomal subunit.
