:(-)-Atropina
Descrizione:

CAS:<p>Hyoscyamine is a tropane alkaloid that is found in plants of the Solanaceae family, such as henbane and jimson weed. It has been used for centuries to treat gastrointestinal disorders, spastic colon, urinary incontinence, and other conditions. The drug works by inhibiting the release of acetylcholine from nerve endings at synapses in the brain and along the gastrointestinal tract. Inhibition of acetylcholine release leads to an increase in parasympathetic activity which results in decreased motility and increased secretions. Hyoscyamine inhibits epoxidase activity, which may be associated with its anti-inflammatory properties. This drug also has transcriptional regulation effects on genes related to growth, development, and reproduction; it inhibits the synthesis of proteins that regulate cell growth and division.
