CAS:(R)-10-Monohydroxy-10,11-dihydro carbamazepine is a drug that has been shown to be active in vitro against human liver microsomes. It is a metabolite of carbamazepine, which is used for the treatment of neurologic disorders. (R)-10-Monohydroxy-10,11-dihydro carbamazepine has pharmacokinetic properties and plasma concentration–time curves similar to those of its parent compound. It also binds to hepatic CYP2C19 and CYP3A4 enzymes with high affinity, which leads to the inhibition of their activity.
