This protein also modifies signal peptide expression in cells, biological sample composition, bowel disease, neuronal death, polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification, transcriptional regulation of genes, human immunoglobulin G (IgG) production, cancer tissues and diabetic neuropathy. Transforming growth factor-α has been used as a model system for antimicrobial agents that inhibit the growth of bacteria.
