N-Phenylquinolin-3-amine is a synthetic antifungal agent that has been shown to be active against opportunistic fungi. This inhibition prevents the production of an enzyme needed for bacterial DNA synthesis and leads to cell death. N-Phenylquinolin-3-amine has also been shown to have anti-infective properties in mice by inhibiting the growth of Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
