N-((1-(2-(tert-Butylamino)-2-oxoethyl)piperidin-4-yl)methyl)-3-chloro-5-fluorobenzamide is a novel antiarrhythmic drug that inhibits the activation of cardiac cells. It was shown to inhibit proliferation and migration of human leukemia cells in vitro and to inhibit tumor growth in vivo. N-(1-(2-(tert-Butylamino)-2-oxoethyl)piperidin-4-yl)methyl)-3-chloro-5-fluorobenzamide has been shown to have cardioprotective effects in Sprague Dawley rats, reducing the incidence of ventricular tachycardia and fibrillation. The clinical studies conducted so far have not revealed any adverse effects on the heart or other organs.
