4-Cyanothiane-4-carboxylic acid (4C4CA) is a fluorescent probe that is used for the detection of myoglobin. It has been shown to bind to myoglobin with high affinity, which makes it an ideal candidate for the diagnosis of diseases caused by myoglobin, such as heart attacks and muscle damage. 4C4CA can be immobilized on a surface in order to provide a stable environment for detection and analysis.
