Applications 8,9-di-O-Methyl-urolithin C is a derivative of Urolithin C and is an intestinal microbial metabolite of ellagitannins. It has shown to have inhibitory effects on cell proliferation and apoptosis effects suggesting the potential for reduced risk of colon cancer development when it is found in considerable amounts via consumption of pomegranate juice.
