CAS:Pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrazin-4-ol is a fluorescent compound that has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells. It binds to the metabotropic glutamate receptor subtype 1 (mGluR1) and inhibits glutamate binding, which reduces the production of cAMP and inhibits the proliferation of cancer cells. Pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrazin-4-ol may be useful for treating conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, and schizophrenia. In addition to being a potential treatment for these diseases, pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrazin-4-ol also has optical properties that make it suitable as a fluorescent probe.
