BP 1-102 is a monoclonal antibody that targets PD-L1. It binds to PD-L1, blocking the interaction between PD-L1 and its ligands such as PD-1, B7-H3, and B7-H4. This prevents the inhibitory signals from reaching T cells and other immune cells, leading to an increase in T cell proliferation and activation. BP 1-102 has been shown to have minimal toxicity in animal studies. The drug was well tolerated with no significant changes in body weight or organ weight measurements. BP 1-102 also showed efficacy in preclinical models of cancer by inhibiting tumor growth and increasing cancer cell death (apoptosis). In addition, BP 1-102 has been shown to have an anti-inflammatory effect on IL17a production by T cells.
