Atorvastatina calcio è un composto farmaceutico utilizzato principalmente come agente ipolipemizzante per gestire l'iperlipidemia e ridurre il rischio di malattie cardiovascolari. Appartiene alla classe di farmaci noti come statine, che funzionano inibendo l'enzima HMG-CoA reduttasi, un attore chiave nella biosintesi del colesterolo nel fegato.
