CAS:Prodotto controllatoApplications Pneumocandin B0 is the major analogue of a family of lipopeptides isolated from several species of several different genera, such as Cryptosporiopsis, Glarea and Pezicula. Pneumocandin B0 is a potent antifungal and acts by inhibition of the synthesis of β-(1,3)-D-glucan, an essential component of the cell wall of susceptible fungi.

CAS:Pneumocandin B0 is a cyclic lipopeptide that exhibits in vitro antifungal activity against Candida spp. Pneumocandin B0 has been shown to bind to the cell wall of Candida albicans and other Candida spp. by interacting with chitin, leading to cell lysis. It also inhibits microbial growth by inhibiting protein synthesis, which is essential for cellular metabolism. Pneumocandin B0 has also been shown to have antimicrobial activity against a variety of bacterial strains, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).
Pneumocandin B0 is an analog of pneumocandin A1, which differs from the latter by having a hydroxyl group instead of an amino group at the C3 position on the cyclic peptide backbone. This difference in chemical structure leads to different surface methodology and elution behavior in vitro assays.Formula:C50H80N8O17Purezza:Min. 96 Area-%Colore e forma:White PowderPeso molecolare:1,065.21 g/mol
