The stereoisomers of 3,5-Di-tert-butyl-4'-hydroxyphenylacetic acid have been shown to inhibit tumour growth and induce apoptosis. This compound also has antiangiogenic effects, which may be due to its ability to inhibit vascular endothelial cell proliferation and migration. 3,5-Di-tert-butyl-4'-hydroxyacetophenone is metabolized through a number of metabolic transformations including tautomerization and hydration reactions.
