Descrizione:
Terlipressina è un analogo sintetico della vasopressina, un ormone peptidico che si verifica naturalmente. È utilizzato principalmente in contesti clinici per le sue proprietà vasocostrittrici, in particolare nella gestione di condizioni come il sanguinamento variceale esofageo e lo shock settico. Terlipressina agisce sui recettori V1, portando a un aumento della resistenza vascolare e a una riduzione del flusso sanguigno verso determinati organi, il che può aiutare a stabilizzare la pressione sanguigna. La sostanza viene tipicamente somministrata per via endovenosa e ha una emivita relativamente lunga rispetto alla vasopressina, consentendo una somministrazione meno frequente. Terlipressin
CAS:Terlipressin is a synthetic analog of vasopressin which is used as a vasoactive drug in the management of hypotension. It acts as a prodrug, as it is converted to (Lys⁸)-vasopressin by removal of the N-terminal triglycine in vivo. This vasopressin analog has a longer duration of action and a better safety profile than the parent compound.
