NAB 2 is a fluorescent probe that can be used to detect DNA methylation by binding to 5-methylcytosine. NAB 2 has been shown to bind with high affinity and specificity to methylated dna, which can be detected in the presence of unlabeled NAB 2 or when exposed to ultraviolet irradiation. The results of this study indicate that NAB 2 can be used for the detection of DNA methylation.
