It has also been shown to have pharmacokinetic properties in mice, with a half-life of 8 hours. The mechanism of action for this drug is not known, but it may be due to its ability to decrease bronchial reactivity and the production of vasoactive intestinal peptide. This antibody is specific for cell types and has been shown to bind to bronchial epithelial cells as well as mast cells.
