3-Thia-7-azabicyclo[3.3.1]nonane 3,3-dioxide hydrochloride (TAZAD) is a carboxylate that has been used as a bioconjugate to increase the water solubility of small molecules. TAZAD has been shown to be an antiarrhythmic drug, and can be used in vivo for the diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmias. TAZAD could also be used as a bifunctional molecule for sulfoxide or piperidine synthesis.
