CAS:Methyl undecanoate is a fatty acid. It is a product of the gene that codes for the enzyme fatty acid synthase, which catalyzes the production of long chain fatty acids from acetyl-CoA and malonyl-CoA. Methyl undecanoate is effective at doses of 5 to 10 gram per liter in dry weight. Sodium carbonate is used as an additive to methyl undecanoate to increase its effectiveness. This chemical also has been shown to have chloride yields in excess of 90%. Methyl undecanoate has active analogs such as dodecanedioic acid, which has shown lipolytic activity on leukocyte antigen cells. Dodecanedioic acid also has shown similar effects on lipolytic enzymes, but with less potency than methyl undecanoate and other analogs.
