IDO-IN-12 is a potent, competitive inhibitor of the enzyme indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO). IDO is an important mediator of immunosuppression in various cell types. The inhibition of IDO by IDO-IN-12 results in increased production and release of inflammatory cytokines such as interleukin 1β and tumor necrosis factor α.
