29-Nor-20-oxolupeol is a natural product that has been isolated from the leaves of Chinensis. It contains alpha-amyrin, oleanane, squalene, and terminalia. 29-Nor-20-oxolupeol also contains ursane and triterpenes. 29-Nor-20-oxolupeol has shown antibacterial activity against some gram negative and gram positive bacteria, such as Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. This compound also exhibits anti fungal properties against Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger.
29-Nor-20-oxolupeol is an inhibitor of platelet aggregation in vitro, which may be due to its ability to inhibit thromboxane synthesis.
