Suc-Ala-Phe-Lys-AMC acetate salt is a fatty acid that is metabolized by the enzyme plasminogen activator inhibitor 1 (PAI-1) to form AMC. It is used as a marker for PAI-1 activity in plasma, as well as in other extracellular fluids. Suc-Ala-Phe-Lys-AMC acetate salt has been shown to be effective in treating diseases caused by low blood sugar levels, such as diabetes mellitus type 2. Studies have also shown that it can be used to monitor the progress of metabolic disorders such as obesity and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
