GSK3004774 is a calcimimetic that binds to the extracellular Ca2+ channel receptor site. It has been shown to stimulate intracellular Ca2+ release in a dose-dependent manner and activate the enzyme adenylate cyclase, leading to an increase in intracellular cAMP. GSK3004774 also inhibits pro-inflammatory cytokines and regulatory T cells, as well as inflammatory cells in intestinal tissues. It is currently being investigated for its potential use in the treatment of hyperparathyroidism and inflammatory bowel disease.
