Cis-4-Hydroxy-D-proline was also shown to inhibit herpes simplex virus replication and to induce apoptosis in hepatocyte-like cells. The affinity constants for cis-4-Hydroxy-D-proline were determined by ph assays, kinetic data, and structural analysis.
