Kras inhibitor-9 binds to the peptide sequence DQPYFQN near the N terminus of KrasG12D, blocking its interaction with other proteins. This binding prevents KrasG12D from activating downstream signaling pathways, including MAPK/ERK kinases and Akt kinases.
