1-(2,3-Dihydro-1,4-benzodioxin-6-yl)cyclopentane-1-carboxylic acid is a carboxylic acid with bactericidal activity. It is a prodrug that is hydrolyzed to benzoic acid in the body. 1-(2,3-Dihydro-1,4-benzodioxin-6-yl)cyclopentane-1-carboxylic acid has been shown to have anticonvulsant activity in mice and rabbits. This drug has also been shown to be an antagonist of the NMDAR channel and an inhibitor of voltage gated sodium channels.
