N-(Prop-2-en-1-yl)-2-(propan-2-yl)aniline
CAS:N-(Prop-2-en-1-yl)-2-(propan-2-yl)aniline is an amido ligand that has been used as a catalyst in the synthesis of polymers. It copolymerizes with styrene to form polystyrene, and with divinylbenzene to form polyvinylbenzene. N-(Prop-2-en-1-yl)-2-(propan-2-yl)aniline can also be used as a catalyst for the epoxidation of alkenes such as ethylene oxide. This ligand has a molecular weight of about 254 g/mol, and it has two substituents on each ring. The structural formula of this ligand is CH(CH3)CONHCH3, where n = 2.
