Ruxolitinib is a small molecule Jak1/Jak2 inhibitor that blocks the JAK-STAT signaling pathway, which is involved in the proliferation and survival of cancer cells. Ruxolitinib has been shown to be synergistic with 6-Methanesulfonyl-3,4-dihydro-2H-1,4-benzoxazin-3-one (MSD), a myeloproliferative neoplasm drug that inhibits protein synthesis by interfering with the function of RNA polymerase. The combination of these drugs may be an effective therapy for myeloproliferative neoplasms such as chronic myelogenous leukemia and polycythemia vera.
