CAS:4-(Trifluoromethoxy)aniline is a reactive intermediate used in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals, dyes, and pesticides. It is prepared by reacting hydrogen fluoride with aniline in the presence of an acid catalyst. 4-(Trifluoromethoxy)aniline can be used to synthesize epoxyeicosatrienoic acids, which are potent anti-inflammatory agents. 4-(Trifluoromethoxy)aniline has been shown to have a pharmacokinetic profile that is similar to those of other fluoroquinolones, but has not been studied for clinical development.
