    <p>Ticarcillin is a member of the beta-lactam family of antibiotics and has bactericidal activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria such as Staphylococcus and Pseudomonas strains. Ticarcillin inhibits cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding protein (PBP) and blocking transpeptidase.
