CAS:Vinclozolin is a fungicide and antimicrobial agent. It inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol, an important structural component of fungal cell membranes. Vinclozolin is also a potent anti-androgen that binds to receptors in the prostate and has been shown to have toxic effects on cells in vitro. The compound is used as an analytical reagent for determination of fungicides.
