Iso-Codeine is a drug that belongs to the class of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. It is an analog of codeine and is used as a painkiller. Iso-Codeine has significant interactions with other drugs such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, which are metabolized by the same cytochrome P450 enzyme system. The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assay was used to quantify the concentration of isocodeine in human serum samples. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was also used to determine the effect of different factors on drug concentrations in human serum. The analytical method for this drug was based on a previously developed procedure for codeine phosphate and sodium citrate, which were found to be similar compounds in terms of their chemical properties.
