Vitamina D4, noto anche come 22-diidroergocalciferolo, è un composto steroideo che svolge un ruolo nel metabolismo del calcio e del fosforo nel corpo. È una delle forme meno conosciute della vitamina D, insieme alle più comunemente riconosciute D2 (ergocalciferolo) e D3 (colecalciferolo). Vitamina D4 è derivato da lieviti e funghi ed è prodotto attraverso l'irradiazione ultravioletta dell'ergosterolo. La sua struttura chimica presenta un complesso scheletro steroideo, caratteristico dei composti della vitamina D.
