1H-Indole-3-carbothioic acid amide is a synthetic anticancer agent that has been shown to be active against cancer cells. It inhibits the growth of cancer cells by inducing apoptosis and inhibiting the production of proteins necessary for cell division. 1H-Indole-3-carbothioic acid amide is a chlorine atom that is obtained by reacting an indole with phosgene in the presence of a base to form the corresponding chloroindole. The diacetate of 1H-indole-3-carbothioic acid amide can also be used as an anticancer agent, which inhibits protein synthesis and induces apoptosis.
