β-D-Glucosio pentaacetato è un derivato acetilato del glucosio, caratterizzato dalla presenza di cinque gruppi acetile legati ai gruppi idrossile della molecola di glucosio. Questo composto è tipicamente un solido cristallino bianco a bianco sporco, che presenta un sapore dolce e un odore gradevole. È solubile in solventi organici come cloroformio e acetone, ma ha una solubilità limitata in acqua a causa dei suoi gruppi acetile idrofobici.
