PG 931 is a substructural analog of pyrethroid compounds. It has been shown to be effective in the treatment of haemorrhagic disease and immunocytochemical studies have shown that PG 931 binds to neuronal cells and inhibits the production of melanocortin. PG 931 is also an insecticide with low levels of toxicity, which may be due to its non-selective mode of action.
