Gadolinio è un metallo raro di colore bianco argenteo, malleabile e duttile, classificato sotto la serie dei lantanoidi nella tavola periodica. Gadolinium can be toxic to humans if it enters the bloodstream and causes damage to the liver, bones, nervous system, heart, or other organs. In some cases, these adverse effects may be delayed up to 20 years after exposure.
