CAS:Prodotto controllatoDiphenyl Methylphosphonate is a molybdenum-containing organophosphorus compound. It has been shown to be an effective catalyst for the synthesis of fatty acids and alicyclic compounds with hydroxyl groups. The mechanism of action of this compound is not well understood, but it is known that it exhibits reactive properties and can react with water vapor to produce hydrochloric acid. Diphenyl methylphosphonate also has a high affinity for organic material, including fatty acids and phosphorus pentachloride, which are often found in wastewater. This organophosphorus compound is often used as a reactive agent in the purification of silica gel and water vapor.
