L'estere metilico dell'acido 4-metilbenzensolfonico, noto anche come metil 4-metilbenzensolfonato, è un composto organico caratterizzato dal suo gruppo funzionale sulfonato attaccato a un anello di benzene sostituito da un metile. Questo composto appare tipicamente come un liquido incolore o giallo pallido con un odore dolce e aromatico. È solubile in solventi organici come etanolo ed etere, ma ha una solubilità limitata in acqua a causa della sua struttura aromatica idrofobica.
