Acido 4-metil-2-ossovalerico, noto anche come acido 4-metil-2-ossopentanoico, è un composto organico caratterizzato dal suo gruppo funzionale acido carbossilico e da un gruppo chetonico. Presenta una catena di cinque carboni con un gruppo metile nella quarta posizione e un gruppo chetonico nella seconda posizione, contribuendo alla sua reattività e proprietà uniche.
