Bifentrina

Descrizione:

Bifentrina è un inseticida piretroide sintetico ampiamente utilizzato per il controllo dei parassiti in ambienti agricoli e residenziali. È caratterizzato dalla sua capacità di interrompere il normale funzionamento dei sistemi nervosi degli insetti, portando a paralisi e morte. Bifentrina è noto per la sua alta efficacia contro un ampio spettro di parassiti, tra cui formiche, termiti e vari insetti agricoli. È un liquido incolore o giallo pallido con un odore tenue ed è relativamente stabile nell'ambiente, il che contribuisce alla sua efficacia. Il composto ha bassa solubilità in acqua ma è più solubile in solventi organici, rendendolo adatto per varie formulazioni, tra cui concentrati emulsionabili e granuli. Bifentrina presenta bassa tossicità per i mammiferi e gli uccelli, ma è altamente tossico per gli organismi acquatici, richiedendo un'applicazione attenta per minimizzare l'impatto ambientale. Il suo meccanismo d'azione implica l'inibizione dei canali sodici nelle cellule nervose, portando a impulsi nervosi prolungati. Bifenthrin is a pyrethroid insecticide that is used in wastewater treatment, as well as in the control of fleas, ticks, and other insects. Bifenthrin binds to the ryanodine receptor (a calcium channel) and inhibits its function. It also has been shown to inhibit the activity of other enzymes such as acetylcholinesterase and phospholipase A2. Bifenthrin has been shown to have a synergic effect with other pyrethroids such as permethrin, cypermethrin, and tau-fluvalinate. The matrix effect is an important property that affects the efficacy of bifenthrin in water systems. Constant pressure may affect the efficacy of bifenthrin when applied on surfaces or when sprayed aerially.
