Levonordefrina è un'amina simpaticomimetica sintetica, utilizzata principalmente come vasocostrittore nell'anestesia dentale e in altre applicazioni mediche. È un isomero otticamente attivo della norepinefrina e funziona stimolando i recettori alfa-adrenergici, portando a vasocostrizione e riduzione del flusso sanguigno nell'area mirata.     <p>(-)-3,4-Dihydroxy norephedrine is a pharmaceutical drug that belongs to the group of adrenergic receptor agonists. It is used in the treatment of infectious diseases, such as osteoclast formation, and has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells. It also inhibits the enzyme fatty acid synthase and reduces levels of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) in tumors.
