Enniatin B3

Enniatin B3 is a potent inhibitor of kinases and has been shown to induce apoptosis in human cancer cells. It is an analog of the naturally occurring enniatins, which are cyclic hexadepsipeptides that have been found to have anticancer properties. Enniatin B3 has been tested on Chinese hamster ovary cells and has been found to be a potent inhibitor of protein kinase C. This compound has also been shown to be a potent inhibitor of vitamin K epoxide reductase, which is involved in the activation of vitamin K-dependent clotting factors. Enniatin B3 has potential as an anticancer agent due to its ability to inhibit tumor growth and induce apoptosis in cancer cells.
