Descrizione:
Fucoidano, con il numero CAS 9072-19-9, è un polisaccaride solfato estratto principalmente da varie specie di alghe brune, come Fucus vesiculosus e Laminaria japonica. È caratterizzato dalla sua struttura complessa, che consiste in uno scheletro di zuccheri fucosi, spesso intercalato con altri monosaccaridi come galattosio, mannosio e xiloso, insieme a gruppi solfato che contribuiscono alla sua attività biologica. Fucoidano presenta una gamma di proprietà biologiche, tra cui effetti anticoagulanti, anti-infiammatori e immunomodulatori, rendendolo di interesse sia per applicazioni farmaceutiche che nutraceutiche.
