Meta-fluorofentanyl is an analog of fentanyl that has been shown to have potential anticancer properties. It acts as a potent inhibitor of elastase, which is an enzyme involved in the breakdown of connective tissue. This inhibition may help prevent the spread of cancer cells by reducing their ability to invade surrounding tissues. Meta-fluorofentanyl has also been found to induce apoptosis in human cancer cell lines, suggesting that it may have direct cytotoxic effects on tumor cells.
